Saves the event's message settings. Refused with 409 while the message is waiting for approval or approved; withdraw it first. Settings may be incomplete; the response's missing list reports what still blocks a build. Top-level keys that are omitted keep their values. variants, when given, replaces every variant by position (1 to 4; a single variant means no split), and each variant's ads, when given, replaces its ad slot assignments. Ad slots are the empty Ad blocks ({$ad_slot}) in the template and article, numbered from 1 in order of appearance; resolved.variants.*.ad_slot_count says how many there are, and ads assigned past that count are kept but not used. The content type is fixed by the event's channel and category and can't be changed here. The message type is derived: article sends as email-article, lift_letter as email-renewal when promoted_publication_id is the event's publication and email-promo otherwise, and sms as sms-message. The send time is the event's start_date_time.
