Create a Funnel
Learn to build funnels in OptiPub.
Step 1. Create a new funnel.
Go to the "Funnels" page under the Marketing tab and click the green "CREATE" button.
Step 2. Name the funnel.
Give the funnel a descriptive name.
Step 3. Select the publication for the funnel.
Click the publication selector to pick an available publication. This list is prepopulated with publications that exist on the OptiPub instance.
Step 4. Tag the funnel (optional).
Click the tag box to choose from tags available on the OptiPub instance. These tags are optional and can be used to sort the funnels in the OptiPub app.
Step 5. Choose whether the funnel is active.
Click the "Active" selector to choose whether the funnel is active or not.
Step 6. Choose if the funnel stops if the user unsubscribes.
If "Stop on Unsubscribe" option is enabled, the funnel will stop performing any actions when the user unsubscribes from the publication.
Step 7. Create a funnel event.
All funnels begin with the creation of an event listener. Click the green "+" button on the bottom right of the canvas to create a new event.
Once you click the button, a menu with a selector of all the available funnel events will open. After a funnel event is selected, its options will display below it.

Note
After the event is created, you can edit it by hovering over the event cell and clicking the blue pencil icon. If you want to pick a new event, click the red trash can icon and redo the step.
Step 8. Create a funnel action.
After the funnel event listener detects a specified occurrence, it will initiate an action. To declare this action, click the white "+" button under the funnel event. This will open a menu with all the available funnel actions on OptiPub.

Note
All funnel actions have the option to limit how many times they are performed to only once. Click the "Only once" toggle in the funnel actions window to ensure the action can only be performed once.
Step 9. Save the funnel.
Click the green "SAVE" button to finalize the changes and save the funnel Alternatively, click the grey "SAVE & CLOSE" button to return to the main funnel screen.
