SMS Addon

Subscriptions in OptiPub include an SMS Addon, which links a phone number to an existing subscription.

How to add a phone number to the SMS Addon of a subscription

Option 1. Use OptiPub Elements to collect subscriptions on a webpage using the optipub-subscribe form element.

Option 2. Create a Subscription by POST Request (view the SMS code snippet in Step 2.)

Option 3. In OptiPub > Messaging > Subscriptions (only use with explicit consent when subscriptions have previously opted in to SMS)

1. View a subscription
2. Click on the [SMS] button of a subscription card
3. Enter a phone number and [Save]

Sending SMS messages via OptiPub

To send SMS messages through OptiPub, an active Twilio Integration is necessary.

When sending an SMS Message to a Publication, an sms message will be sent to all active subscriptions with a phone number linked to the SMS Addon.
