Subscriptions
The Subscriptions page is the central hub for viewing, searching, and managing all subscriber relationships across your publications. Navigate to it from Subscriptions in the sidebar.
Subscriptions Table
The main table lists every subscription in your account. Columns can be toggled on or off using the column selector. The default visible columns are:
| Column | Description |
|---|---|
| ID | The subscription's unique identifier |
| Subscriber ID | Links to the subscriber detail page |
| Publication | The publication the subscriber is subscribed to |
| The subscriber's email address (masked by default) | |
| Active | Whether the subscription is currently active |
| Tags | Tags applied to the subscription |
| Segments | Segments the subscriber belongs to |
| Sign Up Date | When the subscription started |
Additional columns can be enabled:
- Addons — active addons (e.g. SMS)
- Subscriber Tags — tags on the subscriber (separate from subscription tags)
- Last Opened / Last Clicked — engagement timestamps
- Unsubscribe Date / Unsubscribe Reason — cancellation details
- Expires On / Grace Period Begin On / Auto Renews — renewal and expiration info
- SamCart Subscription ID — visible only when SamCart integration is configured; links directly to the subscription in SamCart
- Created / Updated — record timestamps
Mask Emails
The Mask Emails toggle in the toolbar controls whether email addresses are shown in full or partially masked. Masking is enabled by default for privacy.
Subscriber Search
Click the Subscriber Search button in the toolbar to open the advanced search panel. This uses a dynamic query builder that lets you define complex conditions to find subscribers — for example, subscribers who signed up in the last 30 days and opened at least one email.
When a search is active:
- A Filtering badge appears on the button
- The table shows only matching subscriptions
- A summary banner shows how many unique subscribers matched
- The stats cards appear above the table
Copy Rules From Segment
Click Copy Rules From Segment to import an existing dynamic segment's query into the search panel. This is useful when you want to start from a known segment and refine the criteria further.
Save As Segment
When a search is active, click Save As Segment to save the current query as a new segment. Choose between:
- Static Segment — creates a fixed list of the currently matched subscribers
- Dynamic Segment — saves the query rules so the segment updates automatically as subscribers match or unmatch the criteria
Both options require selecting a Publication and entering a Segment Name.
Column filters (e.g. filtering by a specific publication in the table header) are not included when saving a segment — only the subscriber search query is saved.
Subscription Stats
When any filters are applied (via subscriber search or column filters), a row of stat cards appears above the table. These provide aggregate metrics for the filtered subscriptions.
Dimensions
Use the Dimension selector to switch between three views:
| Dimension | Stats Shown |
|---|---|
| Message | Sent, Opens, Open %, Clickers, Clicker %, Complaints, List-Unsubscribes, Unsubscriptions |
| Subscription | New, Duplicate, Reactivation, Renewal, Unsubscribes, Invalids, Complaints |
| Campaign | Clicks, Conversions, Conversion %, EPC, RPM, Revenue |
Date Range
Filter stats by time period using the date range dropdown: Last 7 days, Last 30 days, Last 90 days, Last 6 months, Last year, or All time.
Daily Trend Charts
Click any stat card to open a daily trend chart showing how that metric changed over the selected date range.
Bulk Actions
Bulk actions let you make changes to many subscriptions or subscribers at once. They require an active Subscriber Search — the actions apply to all matching results.
Click Bulk Actions in the toolbar to see the available options:
Subscriber Actions
| Action | Description |
|---|---|
| Add Tag | Add one or more tags to all matched subscribers |
| Remove Tag | Remove tags from all matched subscribers |
| Add To Segment | Add matched subscribers to an existing segment |
| Add To Funnel | Add matched subscribers to a funnel |
| Remove From Funnel | Remove matched subscribers from a funnel |
| Subscribe To | Create new subscriptions for all matched subscribers to a selected publication |
Subscription Actions
| Action | Description |
|---|---|
| Add Tag | Add tags to all matching subscriptions |
| Remove Tag | Remove tags from all matching subscriptions |
| Cancel | Cancel all matching active subscriptions |
Bulk actions run as background tasks. A notification appears when the task starts, and you can monitor progress from the Tasks page.
Creating Subscriptions
Click the Create button in the toolbar to open the creation dialog. Six methods are available:
Individual Subscription
Create a single subscription manually. The form includes:
| Field | Required | Description |
|---|---|---|
| Email Address | Yes | The subscriber's email |
| Publication | Yes | The publication to subscribe to |
| Source Campaign | No | Track which campaign this subscription came from (filtered by selected publication) |
| Source Partner | No | Track which partner this subscription came from |
| Active Subscription | — | Toggle on for an active subscription, off to create a lead |
| Variables | No | Add custom name/value pairs to store additional data |
| Subscriber Tags | No | Tags applied to the subscriber record |
| Subscription Tags | No | Tags applied to this specific subscription |
If the email already exists, the subscriber's information is updated rather than duplicated.
